Role of the wrists in the golf swing

Here we have Academy of Golf Dynamics instructor Kyle Jerome discussing the role of the wrists in the golf swing. Essentially, if you have a correct grip, the right amount of wrist cock is already built into the swing......otherwise your hands should remain relatively passive or quiet during the swing and the wrist action with a correct grip happens naturally and automatically. When you consciously try to add wrist cock, you will tend to get the clubface too open and have the clubhead and grip end working in opposite directions, all of which is a big power leak.
